Ana María Ordóñez

Ana María has extensive experience in conflict resolution at both national and international levels. Between 2017 and January 2024, she served as Director of International Legal Defense at the National Agency for Legal Defense of Colombia. In that position, she structured Colombia's legal defense model and led the country's representation in significant international litigation before the Inter-American Human Rights System, the International Criminal Court, and International Investment Tribunals.

Overnearly seven years, she successfully consolidated an effective defense model in 22 international investment disputes. In her position, she led negotiations with investors during the mandatory negotiation period and was part of the Colombian delegation participating in Working Group 3 of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.

She began her professional career at our firm and worked at a prominent law firm in London before embarking on her public service career in Colombia in 2012, when she served as a Judge for the resolution of corporate conflicts at the Superintendency of Corporations, and later as general secretary at the Superintendency of Residential Public Services.
